Dr. Melissa Méndez Morales is a Neurology Specialist and Medical Director for Sleep Net in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. She graduated with honors from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1995. Dr. Mendez Morales is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with Subspecialty Certification in Clinical Neurophysiology. Also, she is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology, with Added Competence in Epilepsy Monitoring. In addition, Dr. Mendez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine. From 2001 to 2003, Dr. Mendez was Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. From 2003 – 2004, Dr. Mendez was Assistant Professor of Neurology at the New York School of Medicine. Dr. Hector J. Alonso Quiñones is a neurologist and sleep medicine specialist with dual certifications and boards. He completed his medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Also, Dr. Alonso completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Alonso has a graduate degree in Clinical and Translational Research from Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Rochester, New York. In addition, Dr. Alonso completed his residency in adult neurology at the University of Miami Jackson Health System in Miami, Florida.
